We Are the Flies You See at Night

BY Alexander York

When I sleep the walls move closer.
When I dream the walls turn to blood.
Once I'm covered in blood the house
falls apart like ice disintegrating
in the sun. And when the sun collapses
I burst into a thousand burdened flies,
and all of us hum along together while
we find new houses to dream in.
